Smart has a long pedigree filled with performance Appaloosa horses and a little of Quarter Horse blood as well. We have a special spot in our heart for him since his pedigree goes back to Smart Hunter, our first, very talented Appaloosa stallion that started our breeding and show programm. His pedigree also include ELF and BKR Appaloosa's lines, very rare as well.
Smart was born solid, and we felt very sorry that a great pedigreed horse had no color; but with months he started to roan out. He was tested and was found positive for both the silver and LP gene.
Smart inheritated the Smart Hunter's progeny characteristics: a calm nature, a good predisposition with cows, he is easy to ride, very generous as well - and luckily he also has color!
